What is covered

The warranty covers defects related to the installation and product quality for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle.

  • Coverage Includes:

  • Cracking, peeling, or bubbling

  • Delamination (the film separating form the glass)

  • excessive color change or purpling (not standard for high-quality carbon or ceramic films)

  • Adhesive failure

What is Not Covered

To keep things fair, this warranty does not apply to damage caused by:

  • Improper care: Including but not limited to, using ammonia based cleaners like Windex, alcohol based, or harsh cleaning chemicals, or abrasive scrubbing tools.

  • Physical Abuse: Including, but not limited to, Scratches from seatbelts, rings, pets, or loading cargo.

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Including, but not limited to, expected aging or minor sand points bubbles caused by pre-existing dust or debris on older glass.

  • Glass Breakage: Any chips or cracks in the glass itself.

  • Fixing Film Issue: Do not attempt or allow anyone else to attempt to fix a tint issues we have applied. Please contact us right away and we will set an appointment to inspect the issue and find the proper resolution. In the event of film that has been tampered with after the installation process, this will void the warranty.

  • Illegal Tint: Any film applied at a darkness level that exceeds local/ provincial tinting laws, we do not take responsibility of. We at Blackout Tint and Co. will advise our client of what the legal tint darkness levels are, and follow the requested darkness level by the customer. If the darkness level is darker that the local/ provincial laws it will be applied at owner of the vehicles risk, acknowledging it goes outside of the local/ provincial tinting laws.

The "curing" Period

Please not that your tint may appear hazy or show small water pockets immediately after installation. This is a normal part of the dying process. These will disappear within 3 to 10 days depending on sunlight exposure temperature.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT roll down your windows for at least 3 to 5 days following installation. Doing so will cause a shift in the tint causing a misalignment, and can cause peeling to the edge of the film as it curls to the window.

Doing so will void the warranty for the window. This will not be able to be adjusted. That window film will need to be taken off and new tinting film will need to be applied.
